Super easy! Just go to Instagram's website (you can't do this from the app), log in, click on your profile picture, select 'Edit Profile,' scroll down, and click 'Temporarily disable my account.' Follow the prompts, and you're done!
I've done this! Log in from a web browser (not the app), go to 'Edit Profile,' then choose 'Temporarily disable my account' at the bottom. Follow the steps, and it'll be deactivated until you log back in.
You basically just go to Instagram's site, log in, and disable it via 'Edit Profile.' Boom, done.
