Heads up, if you're only moving your character and not the whole island, it's a different process. You've gotta use the 'Resident Move' feature in the game settings, not the Island Transfer Tool. Learned that the hard way after a couple of hours of confusion. Make sure you're picking the right option for what you need!

Transferring your Animal Crossing data is pretty straightforward! If you're moving your whole island to a new Nintendo Switch, you'll need to use the Island Transfer Tool. Download it from the eShop on both your old and new Switches. Boot it up and just follow the on-screen instructions. Just make sure both consoles are connected to the internet and have enough battery life. It's like moving to a new island without the hassle of packing!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
