Easiest way? Use the Data Transfer Utility in the settings menu! Just connect both consoles to the same network, follow the prompts, and voilà – your data is moved!

Ugh, cloud saves. Seriously, just use PlayStation Plus. You're paying for it anyway so might as well use it to upload saves to the cloud and download them on the new console.

I’ve done this a few times. Just back up your data on an external drive via Settings > System > Back Up and Restore, and then restore it on the new console.
