Oh, unlocking Trevor in GTA 5 is like waiting for the party to really start! You need to progress through the story missions. He becomes available after completing the mission 'Mr. Philips' which pops up a bit after you've been playing as Michael and Franklin. Trust me, the game gets even more wild after he joins the fray!
