How does Animal Crossing: New Horizons multiplayer work?
Animal Crossing: New Horizons offers two types of multiplayer: local and online. For local multiplayer, you need another player with their own Nintendo Switch and a copy of the game nearby. You can visit each other's islands, help out, or just hang out. Online multiplayer lets you invite friends to your island or visit theirs by sharing a Dodo Code. Up to 8 players can chill on an island at once. Just remember, if you're not best friends, the tool access is limited to prevent chaos!

Honestly, the local multiplayer feels kinda limited. You can't do as much as you can online. Still fun, but online's where the real action happens.
Online play in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is where it's at! You can show off your island to friends or check out what they've been building. Don't forget, you need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription though. Worth it for the island parties!
