Apex Legends calculates FOV (Field Of View) based on the width of your monitor. It uses Horizontal FOV, which means wider screens get a broader view. This helps keep gameplay fair and immersive across different screen sizes. So, if you're playing on a ultra-wide monitor, you'll see more of the game world on the sides than someone on a standard 16:9 screen.

It's all about the aspect ratio, folks. Apex Legends uses horizontal FOV, not vertical. Wider screen = more view. Keep it simple.

Actually, the FOV calculation in Apex Legends isn't as complicated as everyone makes it out to be. It adjusts based on your screen's width, making sure everyone gets the right slice of action regardless of their setup. Played on multiple monitors and it felt consistent.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
