If your squad did exceptionally well, like getting a lot of kills or finishing the game in a high position, there's a good chance you'll be the Champion Squad in the next match you play. Simple - Performance! Apex Legends looks at how you and your squad did in the last match. Rocked it with high kills or survived till the very end? Bam, you might just be the next Champion Squad. So, keep slaying and stay alive!
Okay, so from experience, it's definitely performance-based. One time, my squad won a match with a ton of kills, and guess what? Champion Squad next game. It felt pretty awesome to be recognized like that!
I think it's kinda random. Sometimes my squad wins and we're not champions next game. ?
