From personal experience, Bladestorm has saved my squad more times than I can count. It's perfect for thinning out hordes of weaker enemies in the late game.
Honestly, it's a bit overpowered. Just place your Ranger in the middle of a group and watch the chaos unfold.
Bladestorm is a Ranger ability in XCOM 2 where, if an enemy moves within melee range, your Ranger will automatically attack them with their sword. It's a fantastic way to punish those overzealous aliens!
