In MTG, when multiple creatures block a single attacker, the attacker's controller gets to decide the order in which those blockers will take damage. This is super important because you can strategize which blocker to try and knock out first, especially if one has an annoying ability or if knocking one out would be more beneficial to your game plan. Just remember, you have to assign at least lethal damage to the first creature in line before moving on to the next.

Honestly, people make it sound more complicated than it is. You hit the ones in front until they're down, then move to the next. Easy peasy.

The way blocking order works is pretty simple but can turn the tide of a game. The attacker decides the damage assignment order when their creature is blocked by multiple creatures. This doesn鈥檛 mean you can bypass the first blocker without assigning lethal damage, though. It鈥檚 all about strategy and foreseeing how your opponent might line up their defenders next time.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
