If your Pokemon is confused, before you can attack or retreat, you gotta flip a coin. If it lands on heads, congratulations, your move goes as planned. But if it's tails, oh boy, your Pokemon hits itself with 3 damage counters and the attack or retreat fails. It's like trying to walk straight after spinning around in circles - not easy!
