Hit 'em in the head, they're closer to dead. Shoot 'em in the toe, it's a no-go. Simple.

Damage in Apex Legends is pretty straightforward but nuanced once you dive deep. Each weapon has its own damage output, which can change depending on where you hit an enemy. Body shots deal standard damage, but if you land a headshot, you'll do more damage. There's also damage drop-off for certain weapons over long distances, meaning the further your target, the less damage your shots might do. Shields also play a big role. Players can equip shields that absorb damage before it hits their health. The color of the shield indicates its strength, from white (weakest) to red (strongest).

Actually, the damage system is a bit too complicated for my taste. I miss the old days when shooters were more about aim and less about calculating if your gun does enough damage per bullet at 100 meters.
