The Dark Zone in The Division 2 is an intense PvPvE area where you can find high-level loot, but you have to deal with both AI enemies and potentially treacherous other players. Enter at your own risk because your loot isn't safe until it's extracted via helicopter.

The Dark Zone is basically 'loot heaven meets paranoia central'鈥攜ou get awesome gear, but you're always looking over your shoulder for other players who might stab you in the back.

You enter the Dark Zone to get better loot and take on a mix of AI enemies and other players. Just remember, other players can be hostile and try to steal your hard-earned loot during the extraction process

Honestly, the Dark Zone is where the real fun happens in The Division 2. You get top-tier loot but also the thrill of possibly getting betrayed by other agents.
