Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, can detect account transfers by monitoring IP addresses, account activity patterns, and payment history. They have sophisticated systems for this.

From personal experience, a friend bought an account once, and almost immediately got flagged because the IP address change was too obvious. Epic has pretty good detection systems.
