In Hogwarts Legacy, the Sorting Hat doesn't just randomly pick a house for you. You actually get to choose your house at the beginning of the game! When you start your journey, the game walks you through a quiz that's reminiscent of the Sorting Hat, but ultimately, the choice of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw is yours to make. So, whether you've always seen yourself as a brave Gryffindor or a cunning Slytherin, you can make that choice directly.
Actually, I think letting players choose their own house in Hogwarts Legacy is brilliant. Instead of the game deciding for you based on a set of arbitrary questions, you get to align with the house that you've always felt connected to in the Harry Potter universe. Makes it way more personal and satisfying, in my opinion.
