How does Populate work in MTG?
Gonna have to disagree with the 'simple' explanation a bit. Populate doesn't just clone any creature; it clones a TOKEN creature. Important distinction because you can't just populate any creature on the board. And strategy-wise, it's a powerhouse in a token-heavy deck. Build right, and it feels like your creatures are endlessly multiplying.

Populate in MTG is like hitting the creature copy button. When you populate, you get to choose a token creature you already have on the battlefield and create a copy of it. Perfect for when you're trying to amass an army of tokens to overwhelm your opponent. Just remember, it works only on token creatures, so no copying your opponent's fancy legendary creature!
Populate? Simple. It clones your token creature. Got a 3/3 Beast token? Populate makes another. It's all about getting more of what you already got.
