It's super easy! State of Decay 2 supports cross play between Xbox and PC. Just make sure you're friends on the Xbox network, and you can invite them to your game regardless of what platform they're on!
I've played this with friends who are on PC while I'm on Xbox. All you need is to be friends on Xbox Live and send an invite. Smooth and seamless!
