Rankings in Overwatch are determined by your Skill Rating (SR) from Competitive matches. You do 5 placement matches for each role at the beginning of a new season and then your SR is adjusted based on your game performance. If you're really good, you might even get to Grandmaster or Top 500!

Basically, your Skill Rating goes up when you win and down when you lose. Just keep winning!

In Overwatch, ranking works through a system called Skill Rating (SR). You start with placement matches, and then your SR goes up or down based on wins and losses. The more you win, the higher you climb!

I've played since launch鈥攜our ranking in Overwatch depends on your performance in competitive matches. You do placement matches, get an SR, and then move up or down depending on your results. It's addicting!
