In Apex Legends, the ranked season is divided into two splits. Each split happens on a different map or sometimes the same map with modifications. The purpose is to freshen up the strategies and playstyles. If you hit the same rank in both splits, you get a special animated badge. Otherwise, you receive the highest rank achieved in any of the splits. Halfway through the season, your rank will partially reset, sending you down a few tiers to keep things competitive.

Splits in Apex Legends are basically them hitting the reset button in the middle of a season. You get to climb the ranks again, but this time on a potentially different map. Keeps things spicy!

I don't get the point of splits. Feels like just when you get used to a map, they switch it on you.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
