How does trample work in Magic The Gathering?
Simply put, trample lets your creature's leftover damage spill over to the opponent. If what's blocking it doesn't absorb all the damage, your opponent will. So, make sure your creatures with trample are big and brawny!

In MTG, trample allows a creature to deal excess damage to the defending player or planeswalker if it has more power than the total toughness of the creatures blocking it. For example, if your 6/6 trample creature gets blocked by a 3/3, your creature would deal 3 damage to the blocker and the remaining 3 damage to the opponent or planeswalker. Think of it as the creature being so powerful, it just stomps right through the defenders!
Trample? Overrated. Just focus on flying creatures or direct damage spells. Why bother trampling when you can soar over or blast through obstacles?
