Just to add, Riot Games has algorithms that are pretty tight-lipped, but they're definitely using player behavior and performance metrics to spot smurfs. So if you suddenly start playing like a pro in lower ranks, you're gonna get noticed.

Valorant uses a pretty slick system to catch smurf accounts. Mostly, it's all about the matchmaking rating (MMR) system which tracks your performance in the game. If you're doing too good for the rank you're in, the system will notice and adjust accordingly. They also look at stuff like your accuracy, kill rate, and how quickly you're climbing the ranks. Riot hasn't shared all the details, but they're definitely on the lookout!

Honestly, smurfs ruin the game experience for new or casual players. Glad Riot's doing something about it.

If you ask me, they could do more. A high KDA and win streak in low elo should be a dead giveaway.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
