How does Ward work in Magic The Gathering?

In MTG, Ward is a keyword ability that acts like a shield for your creatures. When a creature with Ward becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, that opponent must pay an additional cost or the spell/ability doesn't affect the creature. The cost could be mana or something else, depending on what's specified after 'Ward' on the card. Super useful for keeping your creatures safe from your opponent's pesky removal spells!

Honestly, Ward can be overrated. It's good for protection, but smart players get around it. Just make sure you're not relying on it too much.

Ward in Magic The Gathering? It's like your creatures have an annoying toll booth. Opponents gotta pay up with extra mana (or whatever the ward cost is) to target them with spells or abilities. If they can't or won't pay, their spell fizzles out. Simple and sweet protection!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
