Exile in Magic The Gathering is like sending a card to the 'shadow realm'--it's removed from the battlefield and set aside, out of play. It's not the graveyard, so cards in exile can't be easily brought back. Some spells or abilities can pull cards out of exile, but those are pretty specific. Think of it as a 'time-out' zone for cards that have been banished from the game for a bit.

Short version: Exiled cards are out of the game, but not forever (sometimes). Certain spells or abilities can rescue them. Otherwise, they're just sitting in the timeout corner, watching the game.

Here's the thing about exile in MTG: It's not as scary as it sounds. I've played games where my best creatures got exiled, and guess what? I still won. It's all about strategy and how you play the rest of your deck. So, don't freak out if your opponent exiles something鈥攋ust adapt and overcome!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
