How does Fallout 76 break lore?
DescribingHail路7 months agoHonestly, Fallout 76 does stretch the lore a bit, especially with the introduction of human NPCs in the Wastelanders update. Originally, the game was set only 25 years after the Great War, suggesting that survivors would be scarce. Yet, Appalachia is bustling with human NPCs, which kinda contradicts the established timeline where most regions were still struggling with radiation and the fallout of the war.

One big lore break in Fallout 76 is the presence of certain factions and creatures that shouldn't exist yet. Brotherhood of Steel? They're across the country at this time. Super Mutants? They were a West Coast problem for a good while. Seems like Fallout 76 threw the timeline into a blender in favor of gameplay diversity.

Fallout 76 lore break? More like a creative expansion! Sure, there are some inconsistencies, like the early appearance of factions and creatures, but it's all in the spirit of creating a rich, explorable world.
