Hold up, some settings might get saved in windowed mode. Make sure you check your graphics settings if toggling doesn't work.
You can also try Alt + Enter if F4 doesn't work. Both should toggle you in and out of fullscreen mode.
Nah, playing in windowed is better. You get to multitask and keep an eye on other things. Just my 2 cents!
