Back in my day, Loxodon Smiter was the backbone of my anti-discard deck. Never underestimate the look on your opponent's face when you drop it for free after they thought they had you with a Liliana of the Veil. Priceless!

Loxodon Smiter is a solid choice in decks that can take advantage of its unique abilities, especially in metas where discard spells like Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek are popular. Its ability to be uncounterable and to hit the battlefield if discarded makes it a sneaky play against control or hand disruption strategies. Plus, a 4/4 for three mana is nothing to sneeze at, toughness-wise. Great for Selesnya strategies!

Honestly, Loxodon Smiter is kinda situational. It shines in specific matchups but might feel like a dead card against others. If you're facing a lot of control or discard, it's a star. Otherwise, it's just a decently sized creature.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
