Boruto is related to the Otsutsuki through his mother, Hinata Hyuga. The Hyuga clan is descended from Hamura Otsutsuki, the brother of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths. So technically, he’s got Otsutsuki roots!
Simple answer: his mom's clan descends from Hamura Otsutsuki, and his dad has Hagoromo Otsutsuki's chakra. Double whammy!
