In short, the damage calculation involves the attacker's weapon strength minus the defender's armor and resistances. Keep an eye out for armor-piercing stats!

Damage in Total War: Warhammer is calculated based on a unit's weapon strength, which includes both physical and magical components if applicable. The target鈥檚 armor and resistance come into play to reduce that damage. So, a unit with high armor will take less damage, but armor-piercing weapons can ignore some or all of that armor.

High armor can significantly reduce damage, but don't forget magic attacks鈥攕ome units can wreck those tin cans with spells!

Firsthand: As a veteran of many Total War campaigns, I鈥檝e seen how crucial armor-piercing units are when facing heavily armored enemies. Without them, you鈥檒l struggle to break through their defenses!
