Xenoblade Chronicles X isn’t a direct sequel but more of a spiritual successor. It shares similar gameplay mechanics and themes but takes place in a completely different universe.

Not really related. Different universe, different story. Only the gameplay feels kinda similar.

It's basically a cousin of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, but it married into a different family. No direct plot connections!

Think of Xenoblade Chronicles X like a cousin to Xenoblade Chronicles. They're related, but not closely connected in terms of story.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is more of a spiritual successor to Xenoblade Chronicles. They share some gameplay mechanics and themes, but the story and worlds are separate!
