Warframe updates can vary quite a bit. Sometimes they drop a small hotfix that takes just a day or two, while big content updates might take several weeks or even months of development before they go live!

Warframe updates take as long as they need to. They don't rush greatness.
From my experience, major updates seem to hit roughly every 3-4 months. Hotfixes and minor updates, however, can come out much more frequently.
I've noticed that the big story updates and new Warframe releases usually come out every few months, while patches and bug fixes come out quite often in between.
