It took around 2 years for the team at Respawn Entertainment to develop Apex Legends. They started right after they finished their previous project, Titanfall 2, around late 2016, and worked up until its surprise release in February 2019. So, it's like they were crafting this battle royale masterpiece while we were all impatiently waiting for something new after Titanfall 2, and boy, did they deliver!

Just 2 years! Respawn was pretty efficient at keeping Apex Legends under wraps till its big reveal and launch in 2019. Considering what they achieved in that time, it鈥檚 pretty impressive.

Only took them 2 years, which is crazy fast if you think about the depth and polish of the game. As someone who's spent way too much time jumping out of the dropship, I'm amazed at how much they've packed into Apex Legends in such a short development time.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
