It took around 3 years to develop GTA 5. Rockstar started working on it in 2010 right after the release of GTA IV's final DLC. Given the scale and detail in the game, 3 years is pretty impressive!

3-5 years, depending on what you consider 'making.' Concept work began around 2008, but full development kicked off in 2010. Either way, that鈥檚 a lot of dedication for a game!

Actually, GTA 5's development was closer to 5 years! The initial work began in 2008, even before some of their other projects were finished. It's all about the groundwork, concepts, and planning that started way back.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
