It took about 3 years to develop GTA V. Rockstar North started working on it right after GTA IV came out in 2008, releasing it in 2013. This timeline includes all the brainstorming, coding, designing, and testing that goes into making a game as massive as GTA V.

Took them 5 years. Which is crazy fast considering how huge and detailed the game is.

5 years, but honestly, the level of detail in GTA V? Worth every second.

GTA V was a solid 5 years in the making. They kicked off development in 2008 and it hit the shelves in 2013. Plenty of time to craft that giant world and all its intricate details!

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
