As a heads up, if you keep trying different passwords in rapid succession, you're gonna get locked out for a bit. Happened to me once, had to wait like half an hour. Def not the highlight of my gaming night.

30 mins? Not always. Steam once locked me out for 24 hours after I got my password wrong too many times. Patience is key, my friends.

Steam's lockout time can actually vary. If it's due to failed login attempts, you're looking at around 30 minutes. But if it's something more serious like suspicious activity or violating terms, that lock could extend a lot longer, and you might have to talk to support.

Usually, Steam might lock you out for about 30 minutes if you fail to log in successfully after several attempts. It's like a mini time-out to think about what you've done (or mistyped).

Honestly, just wait the 30 minutes and enjoy a break. Maybe go outside, breathe some fresh air, and ponder life's mysteries... or just figure out your correct password.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
