How long was Fallout 4 in development?
Fallout 4 was in development for about 7 years! Bethesda Game Studios, the wizards behind the curtain, started working on it right after Fallout 3's release in 2008. They kept at it, crafting this massive, detailed world until the game's announcement in 2015 and release in November of the same year. Talk about dedication!

7 years. No less, no more. That's a whole lot of time spent perfecting those post-apocalyptic vibes.
Actually, Fallout 4's development timeline is a bit of a masterpiece tale in the gaming industry. It officially took them 7 years, but if you consider the planning stages, it's easily more. From conceptual ideas post-Fallout 3 to its grand release in 2015, Bethesda didn't rush their art.
Only 7 years to create a game as expansive and detailed as Fallout 4? That's both impressive and a tad bit unbelievable. Makes you appreciate all those little details even more.
