MTG prereleases usually span over a weekend, starting from Friday at midnight and wrapping up on Sunday. However, the length of each event can vary depending on the store hosting it. You're generally looking at 4 to 5 hours per event to give everyone enough time to build their decks and play through the rounds. Ideal for a deep dive into the new set without a full-day commitment!

4 hours max. Anything more is just dragging it.

Depends on the shop, but my local game store usually runs each prerelease event for about 5 hours. It gives us plenty of time to crack open our packs, build a decent deck, and play through the matches. Super fun and not too draining!

Prereleases are a weekend-long magic extravaganza! But if you're talking about a single event, it's usually around 4-5 hours. That includes deck building and playing rounds. It's the perfect way to spend half your day!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
