How long does it take to explore the wasteland in Fallout Shelter?
Honestly, it really depends on how well you've prepared your Dweller. If they've got solid gear and you've stocked them up on supplies, they can last up to 72 hours or more. But, if you're just starting out, even 12-24 hours can yield decent results without risking your Dweller too much.

Exploring the wasteland in Fallout Shelter is a bit of a gamble, but generally speaking, the longer you can afford to leave your Dwellers out there, the better the rewards. Ideally, you'd want to aim for at least 24 hours to get some good loot and enough experience. Just make sure your Dweller is well-equipped with weapons, outfits, and stimpaks to survive the dangers out there!
From my own experience, I once left a Dweller out for almost 4 days because I forgot about them (oops), and they came back a hero with tons of caps, gear, and experience. So, the longer, the better, but don't forget about them like I did!
