I give it another 10-20 years before we can even start thinking about it! Right now, we've got VR, but it's mostly visual and limited interaction.
We're still a long way from SAO-style VR. Current tech isn't anywhere near full-dive simulations. Patience, fellow gamers, patience!
As someone who's tried the latest VR gear, it's amazing but not even close to SAO's level. Maybe my grandkids will get to experience it!
