Sony stopped producing PS3s in 2017, but they continue to support essential services like the PlayStation Store. Though it's hard to predict an exact end date, you can still use your PS3 for offline gaming and movie playback!
Sony will keep the lights on for the PS3 as long as there's an audience for it. But don't hold your breath for too many new features!
Honestly, why not just upgrade to a PS4 or PS5? The PS3's days are numbered.
