The Steam Deck's lifespan really depends on how you use it and take care of it, just like any electronic device. If we're talking about battery life, you can expect around 2 to 8 hours on a single charge, depending on the types of games you're playing. For the device's overall longevity, with proper care, it could last you a good number of years before you might want to upgrade.

Honestly, if you treat it right, I can see the Steam Deck lasting 5+ years easily. Mine's been going strong, and it feels sturdy. Just avoid dropping it and maybe don't use it as a coaster, lol.

4 years. That's my bet. Tech moves fast, and something shinier will catch your eye.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
