Just to keep things straight, it's 397. And before you ask, yes, trying to meet them all is as fun as it sounds. It's like Pokémon but with cuter creatures that talk back.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons there are exactly 397 villagers you can meet and invite to your island. Each one comes with their own unique personality, style, and catchphrase. From jocks like Dom to normals like Goldie, there's no end to the variety!

I'm pretty sure it's 397. But with how often I check for new villagers, you'd think the number keeps going up!

397, last I checked. Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming but in the best way possible. I've got 50 so far and each new arrival still feels special.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
