The number of artifacts in a MTG cube can vary widely because each cube is a unique collection curated by its creator. Typically, a balanced cube might aim for around 10-15% of its total cards to be artifacts, but it really depends on the cube's size and theme. For instance, a 360-card cube might include somewhere between 36 to 54 artifacts. But remember, there's no hard rule, and some cubes, especially those with a specific theme, might lean heavier or lighter on artifacts.

Honestly, it's all up to whoever builds the cube. You wanna go wild with a 50% artifact cube? You do you. There's no one-size-fits-all answer here.

Just counted my cube last night, and I鈥檝e got 45 artifacts in a 540-card cube. Works out pretty well for balance in my playgroup!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
