The number of basic lands in a standard MTG deck varies based on your strategy and the total deck size, but a good starting point is around 17 to 24 lands in a 60-card deck. This allows for a balanced mana base to cast your spells consistently.

24 lands or bust. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. More lands, more power.

Honestly, it changes with every deck. I've run a 60-card deck with 22 lands and felt starved for mana, but then again I've run 18 lands and been flooded. Playtest and adjust!

Depends, but 20-24 is a safe bet. Too few and you'll be mana starved, too many and you'll draw nothing but lands. Adjust based on your deck's needs.

It's all about the deck type you're running. Aggro decks might go as low as 17 lands, control decks might need up to 26, but most decks will sit comfortably between 20 and 24 lands. Remember, it's more art than science!
