It varies! Back in the day, a typical block in Magic The Gathering had 3 sets. However, Wizards of the Coast shifted away from the block structure in 2018. Now, most sets are stand-alone and don't necessarily fit into a block. So, the answer is: depends on the era of MTG you're asking about!

Just one set per block now, since they ditched the old block structure. Every set is its own adventure!

There's no such thing as blocks per set. It used to be sets per block, but even that's outdated info. MTG sets sail solo now.
