In Magic The Gathering, at the end of your turn, you gotta trim that deck down to just 7 cards in your hand. If you're holding more, you'll have to choose which ones to discard. It's like choosing your favorite snacks but way harder because each card could be the key to your victory!
Actually, there are some cards and effects that can change this rule! Normally it's 7 cards, but with cards like 'Reliquary Tower', you can have as many as you can hold. So, while the base rule is 7, the world of MTG is full of exceptions.
