For a typical MTG draft, you'll want to have around 45 cards to pick from, which usually comes from 3 booster packs per player. After drafting those cards, you'll build a deck of at least 40 cards, including lands. Remember, the store or event organizer usually provides basic lands, so you just need to focus on drafting those sweet, sweet spells and creatures!

Just 3 booster packs! That gives you the 45 cards to draft with. Deck's gotta be 40 cards minimum, but that's including lands, which you can usually snag at the draft for free.

Honestly, just show up with a good attitude. The 3 booster packs you need are typically part of the draft entry fee. You'll use those to draft and build your deck. Easy peasy.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
