Not a lot of cards use soot counters in Magic The Gathering, actually. Off the top of my head, I can only recall one: "Soot Imp". Soot counters are one of those quirky mechanics that pop up occasionally but aren't a major staple of the game.

Just one, and that's "Soot Imp"! It's pretty unique in that aspect. MTG has a ton of mechanics, but soot counters aren't one you'll see a lot of. Maybe they'll explore it more in future sets.

Only "Soot Imp" uses soot counters. It's kinda lonely in that category. Magic The Gathering has thousands of cards, but only a handful introduce unique mechanics like this one.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
