In Magic The Gathering, the magic number for a deck size is minimum 60 cards, especially if you're playing in most formats. But remember, while you CAN include more, sticking to 60 makes your deck more consistent. Basically, the fewer cards you have, the higher your chances of drawing the card you need. Also, in formats like Commander, you're looking at a deck of exactly 100 cards, with no duplicates except for basic lands.

Don't listen to the minimalists; variety is the spice of life! Sure, 60 cards is the standard, but if you're just playing casually, throw in a few extra. Nothing beats the surprise on your friend's face when you pull out a card they thought wasn't in your deck. Just don't go overboard; 70 cards tops to avoid diluting your draws too much.

60 cards, no more, no less. Trust me, you want to keep your deck lean and mean. More cards might seem like more fun, but it'll just dilute your game plan.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
