The number of creatures in a 60-card Magic The Gathering deck can vary widely based on the specific strategy or deck type you're playing. However, a general rule of thumb for a balanced deck is to have about 20 to 24 creatures. This allows for a good mix of creatures and non-creature spells, ensuring you have enough threats on the board while still having room for other important cards like spells, lands, and artifacts.

It's not about quantity, it's about quality and synergy! You could have a deck with 15 creatures that works better than one with 30 if they all work well together.

Honestly, I've seen decks with as few as 10 creatures win games because they're packed with control spells or combo pieces. So, there's no one-size-fits-all.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
