I once stayed for 50 waves just to see if I could, and boy, it was intense! You can extract every 5 waves, though, so entirely up to you!
Unlimited waves, but you can bail every 5. Good luck!
Hey Tenno! Defense missions in Warframe consist of waves that keep coming until you decide to extract. Every 5 waves, you get the option to extract or continue fighting for even more rewards. Hope that helps!
