How many dice and tokens do you need for Magic The Gathering?

Honestly, it varies a lot depending on the deck you're playing and the format. For casual play, a couple of d6 (six-sided dice) and around 10 tokens should cover most of your bases. But if you're getting into formats like Commander or decks that spawn a ton of tokens, you might need a lot more. I've seen people roll up with a whole bag of dice and a mini photo album for their tokens!

Just one d20 and a handful of tokens should do the trick for most games. Any more and you're probably just showing off ;)

You'll always find that one player who insists you need a bazillion dice and every token under the sun, but in reality, a few d6s and the tokens relevant to your deck are usually sufficient. I've played years of MTG and rarely needed more than that.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
